FTBI-NIT Rourkela Honoured with Bharat Incubator Award 2025

The Foundation for Technology & Business Incubation (FTBI) at NIT Rourkela has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Bharat Incubator Award 2025’ at the ‘4th Bharat Entrepreneurship Summit’ held in New Delhi. The recognition highlights the vital role of FTBI in advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup growth in India.


The award, instituted by the Entrepreneurs Association of India, was presented by Shri Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Food & Supplies and Environment, Forest & Wildlife, Government of NCT of Delhi, at the NDMC Convention Centre. Prof. Subrata Kumar Panda (President, FTBI) and Mr. Chiranjibi Samal (CEO, FTBI) received the award on behalf of the institute.


FTBI was among six leading incubators selected nationwide for this honour, acknowledging its consistent contributions to nurturing startups and building an enabling entrepreneurial ecosystem. The ceremony brought together ministry officials, industry leaders, and delegates from across the country, adding further weight to the recognition.


On the occasion, Prof. Panda expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, while Mr. Samal dedicated the award to the relentless efforts of startups, mentors, and partners associated with FTBI.  Congratulating the FTBI team, Prof. K. Umamaheswar Rao, Director of NIT Rourkela, said the recognition reaffirms the institute’s commitment to empowering innovators and driving India’s entrepreneurial journey.
