The above program conducted by Nikhil Foundation has reached a significant milestone, empowering more than 3,00,000 underprivileged school and college students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Foundation was started in memory of N. Nighileswaran, who lost his life in a tragic road accident. His father Mr.Nagalingam mother Mrs.Naga Malarkodi and his brother Mr.Soundar determined to transform their grief into service, launched the initiative in 2007 to provide free life-skill education to underprivileged students.
Since the first program on November 3, 2007, the Foundation has been conducting its one-day life-skill workshops, focusing on personality development, goal setting, leadership, entrepreneurship, values, and emotional intelligence. Separate modules are designed for students from Classes 6–8, Classes 9 and above, and teachers.
For senior students, the four-phase program covers self-analysis, memory and exam skills, time management, decision-making, communication, leadership, creativity, and emotional intelligence, along with a one-day free entrepreneurship development session titled “Naanm Oru TATA.”
For middle-school students, the Agam 5 (values) and Puram 5 (skills) sessions instill love, responsibility, honesty, empathy, creativity, and deep thinking.
Teachers are offered specialized emotional intelligence training to support student growth.
The Foundation has made all its training materials freely available on its website www.nikhilfoundation.co.in.
With its sustained efforts, Nikhil Foundation continues to nurture values, instill confidence, and empower thousands of young minds from underprivileged backgrounds.
