The award ceremony for the prestigious Dr. Radhakrishnan Award of the Government of Tamil Nadu in the field of School Education was held at the Anna Centenary Library Campus, Chennai, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Hon'ble Education Minister Anbil Magesh Poiyanozhi.
At this event, Mr. T. Padmanabhan, Computer Science Teacher at Maraimalai Adigal Government Higher Secondary School, Pallavaram, Chengalpattu District received the award personally from the Deputy Chief Minister. His father, renowned archaeological historian Dr. B. Thirugnanasambandam, is an alumnus of the same school, and Mr. Padmanabhan himself also studied there.
He expressed that it gives him immense happiness to serve as a teacher in the very school where he once studied and to now be honoured with the State Best Teacher Award. He added that this award is an encouragement for him to continue his educational service with great dedication and deep concern for the welfare of students.
