Lady Doak College celebrated its Christmas Carol Service on December 13, 2025, at 6.00 p.m. in the J.X. Miller Auditorium. The programme brought together the college community in a spirit of joy, worship, and reflection.

Dr. Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, Board Members of the Katie Wilcox Association, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the college. The service began with an opening prayer offered by Dr. Jessi Ranjitha Jeba Selvi, Chaplain.

Rev. Dr. Maher Spurgeon, Consultant and Director of the South Asia Program, United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, delivered the Christmas message on the theme “Jesus: The Epitome of Love and Grace.” In his message, he highlighted Jesus as the perfect model of inclusive and unconditional love, emphasising how Christ’s birth broke social, gender, and religious barriers, uniting sinners and saints, men and women, outcasts and elites, and calling humanity to live out agape love that transforms and includes all.

The celebration was enriched by melodious renditions of Christmas carols by the Students’ Choir, Faculty Choir, Non-Teaching Staff Choir, and the Children’s Choir. The service concluded with the closing prayer and benediction pronounced by Rt. Rev. Dr. M. Joseph, Former Bishop, CSI Madurai and Ramnad Diocese.
