The Organic Farming Awareness Exhibition and Seminar held at the private hall in Mettukadai under the ATMA scheme of the Erode District.
Agriculture Department was inaugurated by Minister for Housing, Prohibition and Excise Mr. S. Muthusamy, presided over by District Collector Mr. S. Gandasamy, attended by Members of Parliament Mr. P. Selvaraj (Rajya Sabha) and Mr. K. E. Prakash (Lok Sabha), legislators Mr. V. C. Chandrakumar and Mr. A. G. Venkatajalam, Mayor Mr. S. Nagarathinam, Deputy Mayor Mr. V. Selvaraj, and Revenue Officer Mr. S. Santhakumar, enriched by technical presentations from Deputy Directors Arulvadivu, Loganathan, Nirmala, professors from the Agricultural Research Station, and scientists from the Agricultural Science Centre, further strengthened by natural farmers who shared their field experiences to inspire fellow cultivators, with numerous farmers participating to learn organic farming techniques and clarify their doubts directly with experts, while exhibition stalls showcased agriculture, allied departments, pioneering farmers, and farmer producer organizations, the entire program being meticulously organized by Assistant Directors, Agricultural Officers, and ATMA staff, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Deputy Director Mr. Saravanan.
