CBC Thanjavur Conducts Awareness Programme at Kattathupalam Village

Central Bureau of Communication, Thanjavur under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organised an  awareness programme at Kattathupalam   village in Kudoor Panchayat in Thiruvarur   block   of Thiruvarur  district in coordination with Puthiyapathai Youth Association and Kasthuribhagandhi Women Association, Kattathupalam.  Shri Arunkumar, Field Publicity Assistant, Central Bureau of Communication, Tiruchirappalli  welcomed the gathering and explained the purpose of the programme.  


Addressing the audience,  Shri Murali, Technical Assistant, Central Bureau of Communication, Chennai  explained various Government schemes including  Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and  Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).  Shri Ravindran, Field Publicity Assistant, Central Bureau of Communication, Thanjavur  spoke on Beti Bachao  Beti Padhao scheme and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, 181 and 1098 Services.    


Various competitions   for Rural Children and Women were conducted and the winners were honoured with prizes. An awareness song and drama programme was  perfomed by Karai Kalaikavalar Kalaikuzhu, Karaikal, a registered Troupe of the Central Government. As part of the programme,  printed materials on government schemes were also distributed to the public. At the end  Shri Arun, Puthiyapathai Youth Association proposed vote of thanks.
