Marking World Health Day 2026, observed on April 7, AGS Healthcare & Master Health Checkup Center, Coimbatore, has launched a week-long preventive health initiative aimed at promoting early detection and healthier lifestyles.
This year’s global theme, “Together for Health: Stand with Science,” highlights the importance of scientific collaboration in safeguarding the health of people, animals, plants, and the environment. Aligning with this vision, AGS Healthcare has introduced a Cardio Diabetes Master Health Checkup Package designed to address the growing incidence of lifestyle-related diseases.
Under the guidance of Dr. Adityan Guhan, Founder and Director, the centre is offering a comprehensive health package worth Rs. 10,000 at a highly subsidised cost of Rs. 1,000. The initiative specifically targets adults between the ages of 25 and 60, a group increasingly vulnerable to conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiac disorders.
Medical experts highlight that recent trends indicate a significant rise in sudden cardiac events, often linked to undiagnosed or poorly managed diabetes combined with underlying heart conditions. In this context, early screening and preventive care play a crucial role in reducing health risks and improving long-term outcomes.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Adityan Guhan stated that preventive healthcare is no longer optional but essential in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. He emphasized that timely diagnosis can significantly reduce complications and help individuals take proactive control of their health.
Now in its fifth consecutive year of observing World Health Day, AGS Healthcare continues its commitment to community well-being by delivering accessible and affordable healthcare services across the Kongu region. The current campaign also focuses on spreading awareness about the importance of routine health checkups, balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and stress management.
The camp is being conducted at the AGS Healthcare facility in Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore, from April 7 to April 11, 2026. The package is limited to 50 participants per day and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to diagnostic services, participants will also receive basic health counselling and guidance on lifestyle modifications to prevent long-term complications.
Appointments can be booked by contacting: 9944333006 / 8489655556 / 9659455556.
The Directors, doctors, and staff of AGS Healthcare extended their warm wishes to the public on the occasion of World Health Day 2026 and reiterated their commitment to building a healthier society through preventive care.
