Advanced MCCC Inaugurated at Coimbatore Police Office

The newly established “Master Command and Control Centre (MCCC)”, equipped with advanced modern technology facilities at the Coimbatore District Police Office, was inaugurated on 21.05.2026 by the Coimbatore District Collector Pavan Kumar G. Giriyappanavar.


The event was attended by Western Zone Inspector General of Police Ramya Bharathi, Coimbatore Range Deputy Inspector General of Police P. Saminathan, Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police K. Karthikeyan, and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran.


The centre has been set up on the 4th floor of the District Police Office across an area of nearly 3,000 square feet and has been designed to function round the clock. Through a central LED video wall and advanced surveillance facilities, CCTV and ANPR cameras installed across the district can be monitored live.


More than 1,500 CCTV cameras, monitoring systems of all police stations, Dial-100 emergency services, Kakki Beat, Smart Kavalar, social media monitoring, cybercrime wing, women and child safety division, and narcotics prevention wing have all been integrated into this centre.


The Coimbatore District Police stated that the Master Command and Control Centre will function with the objective of providing the public with faster, transparent, technology-driven, and people-friendly policing services.
