“Employment Day” was successfully celebrated at Nandha Engineering College and Nandha Engineering and Technology College to honor students who secured placements through the Training and Placement Department during the current academic year.
The event was held under the leadership of V. Shanmugan, Chairman of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Thiagu Dharmalingam, Chairman of the global AI-focused company LRDM, along with Mrs. Bhanumathi Shanmugan, member of the Trust, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the function.
In his presidential address, V. Shanmugan congratulated the placed students and proudly announced that more than 145 multinational and national-level companies—including Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, LTIMindtree, Juspay, Renault Nissan Automotive India, Brakes India, Lucas TVS, and Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation—visited the campus. Through these efforts, 1,735 students secured job placements by the end of the academic year.
He also specially appreciated three students—P. Gowrika, Mohineesh, and Rahul—who secured high-paying job offers with annual packages of ₹31 lakh and ₹21 lakh. He noted that their achievements reflect their hard work despite coming from modest backgrounds.
Shanmugan emphasized that such success is made possible through the continuous support and guidance of faculty members and parents. He encouraged students to sustain their efforts and assured them that success in life would follow. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to both the students and their parents.
Earlier, Dr. U.S. Ragupathi, Principal of Nandha Engineering College, welcomed the students and their parents.
The event was attended by Joint Managing Trustees S. Nandakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy, along with Administrative Officer A.K. Velusamy, who extended their congratulations to the students and their families.
Chief Guest Thiagu Dharmalingam distributed the appointment orders and addressed the gathering. He congratulated the students and advised them to focus on three key aspects in their careers: continuous learning, skill enhancement, and maintaining good workplace relationships. He also encouraged them to return in the future as brand ambassadors of their institution and share their experiences with current students.
He further advised students to prioritize health, discipline, and gaining diverse experiences to sustain success in higher positions.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. S. Nandagopal, Principal of Nandha Engineering and Technology College.
The college management appreciated the efforts of the Training and Placement coordinators and faculty members—K.V. Prabhu, S. Sivaramakrishnan, Thiruvenkatasamy, Naveen, and their team—for organizing the event successfully.
