The 21st Convocation Ceremony of Nandha Engineering College was conducted with great grandeur as part of the institution’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.
The event was presided over by V. Shanmugan, Chairman of Sri Nandha Educational Trust, who welcomed the chief guest, Gokulkannan Narasimman, Senior Manager of ServiceNow, a leading software company headquartered in California, USA, and introduced him to the graduating students.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman V. Shanmugan expressed his gratitude to the graduating students and their parents. He also appreciated the Placement and Training Department for facilitating recruitment opportunities through more than 145 multinational companies. On behalf of the parents, he conveyed thanks to the principal, deans, heads of departments, professors, and faculty members for guiding and supporting the students throughout their academic journey.
He further advised students to continuously enhance their knowledge and values in today’s era of Artificial Intelligence and lead a happy and meaningful life with their families. He also extended his heartfelt wishes to all the graduates.
Earlier, the Principal of Nandha Engineering College, U.S. Raghupathi, presented the annual report highlighting the achievements and progress made by the institution across various fields during the current academic year. He also acknowledged the contributions of department heads, deans, professors, assistant professors, staff members, and students.
During the convocation ceremony, chief guest Gokulkannan Narasimman distributed degrees to a total of 725 students, including 621 undergraduate engineering students and 104 postgraduate engineering students. Among them, 34 students secured university ranks.
In his convocation address, he emphasized that earning a degree was not the end of responsibility, but the beginning of a long journey toward contributing to society. He encouraged students to treat their degrees as entry passes to explore their true potential with the support of modern technology and succeed in a highly competitive world.
The event was attended by Bhanumathi Shanmugan, member of Sri Nandha Educational Trust; Joint Managing Trustees S. Nandhakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy; and Technical Campus Administrative Officer A.K. Velusamy.
The college management also appreciated all heads of departments, professors, and assistant professors for successfully organizing the grand convocation ceremony.
