The World Blood Donor Day celebration organized by the Erode District Blood Donation Coordinators Association was held at a private hall near the Erode bus stand, where outstanding blood donors and coordinators were honored with awards.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including J. Prabhakar, Founder and Managing Director of NDSO; Dr. S. Senthil Kumaran of Manian Medical Center; Dr. G. Saranya, Assistant Professor at the Blood Bank of Erode Government Medical College; Erode Veeramani, DMK State Students Wing Secretary; Arima. Kumarasamy, Secretary of Supreme Arima Blood Bank; K.R. Venkatasalam, Administrator of Tamil Nadu Voluntary Blood Bank; Dr. S. Kavitha of Anthiyur Government Hospital; Saravanan of Arima Blood Bank; Dr. Sasikala of Erode Government Headquarters Hospital; and Dr. Ramkumar of Gobi Government Hospital.
During the ceremony, the guests presented awards to distinguished blood donors and coordinators, recognizing their invaluable contributions to society. The program began with a welcome address by I. Karthikeyan, President of the Erode District Blood Donation Coordinators Association, followed by a felicitation speech by Arima. V.M. Ilango of the Erode East Arima Association. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by R. Kaviyarasu, Secretary of the Association.
This celebration highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and honored those who dedicate themselves to saving lives through their selfless service.
