JITO Erode Chapter, in association with Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) and The Passam Foundation, is jointly organizing Van Mahotsav 2026, a week-long tree distribution and plantation drive from 1st July to 7th July 2026.
The initiative is being dedicated to Shri Vijay Bandulal Bhandari, President of JITO, as a heartfelt birthday tribute. Through this green initiative, the organizers aim to celebrate his vision and commitment to social service by promoting environmental conservation.
The event is being conducted in line with the national Van Mahotsav 2026 theme, "Healing the Earth through Greener Initiatives." The campaign also supports the "One Blood, One Tree" initiative, encouraging environmental protection alongside community welfare.
As part of the programme, more than 1,000 tree saplings will be distributed and planted at Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Nanjanapuram, Erode, with activities taking place daily during the Van Mahotsav Week.
The programme features Dr. H. Vasudevan, M.Com., M.Phil., M.B.A., PGDCA, Ph.D., SLET, Principal, Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), as the speaker, who will address participants on the importance of environmental sustainability and tree conservation.
The organizing committee includes Gautam Bhotra as Chairman, R. Vipul Chandaliya as Chief Secretary, and Samjau Jain as Convener.
The organizers invite students, volunteers, social organizations, and members of the public to actively participate in this noble initiative and contribute towards creating a greener and healthier Erode.
