Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Nitin Nabin addressed a meeting of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, and Members of Parliament in Lucknow on the first day of his Uttar Pradesh visit on Saturday. Addressing a highly significant meeting of the party’s Members of Parliament, MLAs, and senior public representatives in Lucknow, Shri Nitin Nabin launched one of his strongest and most comprehensive political attacks on the Opposition to date. Sounding the bugle for the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP National President asserted that under the leadership of BJP, both India and Uttar Pradesh have emerged from the dark era of deep disappointment, appeasement politics, and corruption that prevailed under previous Opposition governments. Shri Nabin called upon Party Karyakartas and leaders to enter the electoral battlefield with full determination, without falling prey to any populist or misleading narrative propagated by the Opposition, and to decisively defeat their political designs.

Shri Nitin Nabin stated that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh, and before 2005, Bihar, were passing through a dark phase when these states were known across the country and the world primarily for lawlessness, rampant corruption, and narrow caste-based politics. As a result, people from these states often had to face a sense of inferiority in other parts of the country. During the previous Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments, there was virtually no trace of development in Uttar Pradesh, and every region was dominated by local strongmen, mafia networks, and regional satraps who operated parallel power structures. The BJP government under Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath has eliminated these anarchic elements, mafias, and regional strongmen from the roots and established the rule of law in the state, which is today being recognised across the country as a model of governance.

Bharatiya Janata Party National President asserted that during the 2011 Rashtriya Ekta Yatra, when they were on their way to hoist the Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Kashmir, the then Central Government and the local administration used every possible means to stop them. During that period, Pakistani flags were openly flown in Kashmir, while patriots had to conceal the Indian National Flag inside suitcases and bundles of newspapers in order to carry it. He said that it is solely because of the strong and nationalist policies of the government led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji that today Lal Chowk in Kashmir proudly shines with the Indian Tricolour, leaving those Opposition parties that had opposed the abrogation of Article 370 embarrassed and speechless.

Shri Nitin Nabin said that the Opposition is conspiring to divide society. With the upcoming elections in mind, Opposition parties are once again attempting to play the caste card. The Opposition wants BJP Karyakartas to abandon their core ideology of 'Nation First' and become divided along caste lines, whether Brahmin, Rajput, Kayastha, Vaishya, or others. Our ideology does not permit us to do so. Through social media and perception-building campaigns, the Opposition is trying to suppress the achievements of our government. Despite adverse and repressive circumstances in West Bengal, our Karyakartas fought with determination and ensured the party's success because they understood that the victory of the BJP is essential for the security of the nation.

The BJP National President stated that through the welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, lakhs of youth in Uttar Pradesh have secured employment, and crores of beneficiaries have been directly connected with the government. Despite this, if we are still unable to fully convert this strong support base into votes, it means that somewhere our communication with the people has weakened, and the Opposition is waiting to exploit this gap. Shri Nabin urged all Members of Parliament and MLAs to step out of their offices and engage directly with the people, take ownership of developmental works, and ensure their mandatory presence in every organisational meeting, big or small. He asserted that with collective hard work over the next seven to eight months, the Opposition will be completely routed, and in 2027, the Bharatiya Janata Party will once again form a historic double-engine government in Uttar Pradesh with an overwhelming majority.
