LG Electronics (LG) has established a new Robotics Business Center, reporting directly to CEO Lyu Jae-cheol, to strengthen its robotics business and accelerate growth in Physical AI. The new organization integrates business development, sales, supply chain and manufacturing operations into a single end-to-end business unit. Led by Song Si-yong, the center will also launch a dedicated data factory to support robot training and advance LG's Robot Foundation Model (RFM).

The company has adopted a "One LG Solution" strategy, bringing together the expertise of LG Group affiliates, including LG CNS and LG AI Research, while expanding partnerships with global technology leaders. LG is also building a large-scale data factory at its Yangjae R&D Campus in Seoul to strengthen next-generation robotics capabilities through high-quality operational data.

LG aims to become a comprehensive robotics solutions provider by expanding its portfolio across residential, commercial and industrial applications. Combining finished robots, core components such as actuators, data-generation capabilities and the LG Group's AI ecosystem, the company is positioning robotics as one of its key future growth businesses. Lyu Jae-cheol, CEO, LG Electronics, said the new Robotics Business Center reflects the company's commitment to accelerating innovation and strengthening its leadership in Physical AI-powered robotics solutions.
