District Collector Dr. N.O. Sukhaputhra, IAS, District Revenue Officer Ananthi, District Supply Officer Amarnath, and other government officials were present.
Addressing the gathering, Minister K. Jagadeshwari said, "Keerthana is not just my fellow minister but like my own sister. That is the bond we share. She has been entrusted with ministerial responsibility in recognition of her outstanding work.
"There are no differences between us. We will continue to function as one team and one family for the welfare of the people. Together, we will work like two tigresses in the service of the people of Virudhunagar district. We will work in coordination with all MLAs, irrespective of party affiliations, with the sole objective of ensuring the district's development. People's welfare will always remain our top priority."
Minister S. Keerthana reaffirmed the government's commitment to working together for the district's progress and ensuring that the needs of the people are addressed without delay.
The unity displayed by the two ministers and their people-centric approach was warmly welcomed by those who attended the function.
Later, the ministers handed over ₹4 lakh in relief assistance, sanctioned by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, to the families of the five persons who lost their lives in the Sivakasi fireworks explosion that occurred two days earlier. They also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families.
