The University of Western Australia (UWA), one of Australia's leading research-intensive universities, a member of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), and ranked 77th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026, has opened applications for its India campuses in Mumbai and Chennai. As the first Go8 university to establish campuses in India, UWA is offering students the opportunity to earn a globally recognised Australian degree through the same curriculum, academic standards and faculty-led learning as its Perth campus. Merit-based scholarships of up to 50% of tuition fees are available for the upcoming intake.
Students can choose from undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Business, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Economics, Enterprise and Innovation, MBA, and Information Technology. UWA Vice-Chancellor Professor Amit Chakma said UWA India will provide students with an internationally recognised education, delivered by accomplished faculty from Perth and India, while offering industry engagement, leadership opportunities, research-led learning, internships, live projects, career mentoring and networking to prepare graduates for global careers.
UWA India also offers strong industry connections through collaborations with Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rio Tinto and Woodside Energy, creating pathways to internships and employment opportunities in India and abroad. Scholarship applications are open until 30 July 2026, with students encouraged to apply before 15 July 2026 to be considered for scholarships.
