Zydus Pinkathon Returns to Chennai After 7 Years

Zydus Pinkathon marked its return to Chennai after a seven-year gap with the official launch of the city's edition at Hyatt Regency Chennai on Thursday. Scheduled for August 1 & 2 at Island Grounds, the event will feature race categories including 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, 10 km, 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and the 100 km Relay, welcoming women of all ages and fitness levels. Founded by Milind Soman, Pinkathon continues its mission of promoting women's health, fitness, and preventive healthcare while encouraging regular self-breast examinations through The Easiest Exam campaign.


Speaking at the launch, Milind Soman, Founder, Pinkathon, said Chennai's return to the Pinkathon calendar is a significant milestone that will inspire women to embrace fitness and create positive change within their families and communities. Dr. Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences, highlighted that the Easiest Exam campaign encourages women to perform a simple three-minute monthly self-breast examination for the early detection of breast cancer. Ankita Konwar, Founder, Invincible Women, said every woman, whether participating in her first run or an ultra-distance race, has the power to inspire others through her fitness journey.


The Chennai edition also introduced its inspiring race ambassadors: Zoha Sanofer (3 km), Nandita Muralidhar (Lifelong 5 km), Gaytheri M. (10 km), Geetha Manichandar (50 km), Deborah Sushma Lall (75 km), and Latha Ravichander (100 km).
