Srivilliputhur, Kalasalingam University' Founder-Chairman T. Kalasalingam memorial District level chess competitions organised.
Vice-president Dr S.Shasi Anand presided.
Vice Chancellor Dr. S. Narayanan, Registrar, Dr V. Vasudevan inaugurated the Competitions were held for students in under age group of 8, 10 and 13 and common people.
A total of 343 students, parents and common people attended the event.
Director -Students Welfare, Dr S. P. Balakannan distributed the medals, cash prizes and certificates.
Varsity Physical Education Officers, S. Chidambaram, Dr. S. Vijayalakshmi, B. Selvakumar, B. Arumugam, International Chess Umpire, APS Chess Academy, Rajapalayam and University players well organised the event.
