A 100-day public service and achievements programme of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam was held at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore yesterday. Speaking at the event, Kavundampalayam MLA Kanimozhi Santhosh made sensational allegations regarding an alleged ₹15 lakh “package” offered to her from the DMK side.
She said:
“Since November 2025, a ₹15 lakh package was offered to me by what I refer to as the ‘Karur company’ of the DMK. I was asked to speak on a YouTube channel, based on astrological predictions, that the DMK would win the 2026 Assembly elections.
“At that time, I was not part of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and I had not received any call from our leader either. Even then, I clearly stated that the DMK would not come to power. However, I was repeatedly pressured to say that the DMK would win.
“I am revealing this openly today because people should know the truth. Political victories cannot be manufactured through money or astrological predictions. The people’s verdict is the final verdict.
“I was also allegedly advised to remain silent in the Assembly regardless of what members of the Opposition spoke about. But we have been elected to the Assembly to speak about people’s issues. I will make no compromise when it comes to raising the voice of the people.
“Those who speak about me on social media can come and speak to me directly if they have the courage. I face various criticisms, including being called a ‘beautiful doll’. But this beautiful doll can also turn into a dangerous doll when necessary.
“There will come a time when I will have to answer for every action I take. The people are watching everything. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will prove its strength in the elections to come. By 2031, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will emerge as a major force in Tamil Nadu politics.
“There may be differences of opinion within the party. Like in a family, we may have minor disagreements among ourselves. But we should not allow anyone from outside to affect our unity.
“We are continuously raising questions about people’s issues in the Assembly. Every member is raising questions, and this has also resulted in a continuous workload for the Speaker.
“In the upcoming local body elections, people should extend their full support wherever Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam contests. People should support us to the extent that we can win without leaving even a single seat behind.
“I am always ready to speak and stand for the people. In politics, the trust and verdict of the people are more important than money, false propaganda and fabricated predictions,” MLA Kanimozhi Santhosh said.
