Speaking to reporters today, he stated:
The total population of Bihar has now crossed 130 million. The population density on land is also extremely high. As a result, many people from Bihar are migrating to other states in search of employment.
However, there is still no shortage of workers within the state. "Previously, Bihari youths who worked in leather factories in Vellore have now returned to their hometowns and have started new leather factories here," he added.
To promote the development of the state, a plan has been made to provide skill development training to 500,000 youths. Special training will be given in key sectors, including construction. Additionally, the Chief Minister has set a target to create employment opportunities for 100,000 women.
To assist migrant workers, labour service help centers will be launched in 12 states, including Tamil Nadu. The help center in Bengaluru is already operational, and soon this initiative will be expanded to other states as well.
For the livelihood security of migrant workers, the state government is actively conducting a Migrant Labourers Census.
