Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has unveiled a new inflight menu through Café Akasa, combining familiar Indian flavours, global culinary inspirations and diverse choices to enhance the passenger experience.
The airline’s fourth menu since commencing operations introduces Chicken Pulimunchi Sushi, blending Karnataka’s coastal flavours with sushi; Vietnamese Chicken Salad; Grilled Chicken Steak with mango achari relish; and an Asian Chicken Sandwich. The Tandoori Soya Wrap offers a Jain-friendly, protein-rich vegetarian option, while the Kids Sky Treats combo caters to younger travellers.
The beverage selection features Pepping Sea Buckthorn, Colombian Brew South Indian Filter Coffee and unsweetened coffee. The expanded menu offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including gourmet, protein-rich, health-focused and indulgent choices.
Commenting on the launch, Naarayan T V, Chief Marketing Officer, Akasa Air, said the new menu brings together culinary influences from India and around the world, offering food that surprises and delights passengers while making every journey more memorable.
Café Akasa also celebrates India’s cultural diversity through limited-period menus inspired by festivals and occasions, including Holi, Eid, Onam, Diwali and Christmas. Passengers can pre-select cakes to celebrate birthdays and special occasions onboard.
Supporting its sustainability commitment, all packaging for perishable Café Akasa meals is 100% recyclable and paper-based, with paper ethically sourced from sustainably grown crops. The packaging is manufactured without bleach or optical brightening agents, and onboard wooden cutlery is biodegradable.
The new menu is available across Akasa Air’s network and can be prebooked through the airline’s website, mobile app and leading travel agents.
