Medical Golu at CGHS Gopalapuram Promotes Health Awareness

Business MInutes

As part of our community health awareness initiative, Medical Golu was creatively arranged at CGHS Gopalapuram, using the traditional Golu display as an engaging platform to educate beneficiaries about important health topics and encourage healthy lifestyle practices, says Dr Beena Cheriyan Chief Medical Officer CGHS Gopalapuram.

The display highlighted the importance of organ donation and its life-saving potential, spreading the message that organ donation can give hope and a second chance at life to people in need. It also showcased the importance of balanced nutrition, including sources of essential vitamins and proteins, the nutritional benefits of ragi, healthy snack choices and iron-rich foods to help promote good health and prevent nutritional deficiencies.

Special emphasis was placed on dengue and malaria awareness, educating beneficiaries about mosquito-borne diseases, preventive measures, maintaining clean surroundings, avoiding stagnant water and taking steps to prevent mosquito breeding.

Through this unique blend of tradition and health education, Medical Golu transformed a cultural display into an informative and interactive learning experience for patients and beneficiaries. The initiative encouraged everyone to make informed health choices, adopt nutritious eating habits, support organ donation awareness and take collective responsibility for preventing mosquito-borne diseases.

Tradition with a purpose, knowledge for better health.  Together, let us build a healthier, more aware and disease-free community is the motto of this medical golu.
