Union Minister L.Murugan inspects ongoing infrastructure development works in Andaman and Nicobar islands

On his visit to Andaman Nicobar Islands, Mr. L.Murugan, Minister of State for State for Information & Broadcasting , Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying  Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, inspected the ongoing development of 155 bedded multi-speciality district hospital’s first phase construction work at Garacharama, Port Blair.

The phase one of 155 bedded hospital is expected to complete by the end of this year. The MoS directed to expedite the work and complete it as soon as possible in order to deliver better medical facilities to the islanders.

Minister of State Dr. L Murugan also inspected the connecting bridge work at Sippighat at NH-4, in South Andaman, The The bridge helps in connecting rural areas of South Andaman to Port Blair.

Later Dr. L Murugan visited the Organic Farm of Agriculture Department of AN administration at Sippighat, South Andaman. He interacted with local self help groups at sippight and enquired on ongoing development of spices and organic market. Local Self help group women elaborated development projects to the minister.

Later Dr.L.Murugun  extensively toured and conducted door to door campaign on the achievement made by central government. He directly interacted with the local people at Port Blair market area and informed them about the development works done by Central Government and it's achievements in the last nine years. He distributed pamphlets on 9 years  achievements,  booklets to the local public.

Mos Dr.L.Murugan will participate in International day of Yoga celebration organised by Andaman administration on 21st June(tomorrow) He will be visiting  Swaraj Dweep fish landing centre and interact with local fisherman and beneficiaries of Government schemes at swaraj Dweep.
