Orient Electric Limited, part of the diversified $2.8 billion CK Birla Group, has illuminated the famous Bharathi Park in Puducherry in Tricolour in celebration of India’s 77th Independence Day as part of its #OrientLightsUpIndia initiative. Located at the heart of the old Pondicherry town, Bharathi Park is dotted with modern monuments, old sculptures, statues, stone carvings, and stately buildings.

The main attraction of the park is the magnificent structure in white known as the ‘Aayi Mandapam’. Puneet Dhawan, Executive Vice President, Orient Electric said, “We are proud to have illuminated the historic Bharathi Park in Puducherry in the tricolour theme for the Independence Day. We hope this will help create a unique visual experience for the visitors and promote night tourism while igniting the spirit of patriotism.
