Seminar on Swami Vivekananda's Chicago Speech and Bharatiyar's Memorial Day" was jointly organized by Swami Vivekananda Study Center and Bharatiya Chinthanair Arangam at Vivekananda College, Tiruvedakam on 11-9-2023.
All students and teachers of Vivekananda College participated in this programme. Assistant Professor of Tamil Dr. K. Ramar delivered the welcome address. Principal of the college Dr. T. Venkatesan delivered the keynote speech.
Vivekananda College Swami Vedananda and Kulapathi Swami Adhyatmananda delivered the blessing address. College Vice-Principal Dr. Ko Karthikeyan, Internal Assurance Center Coordinator Dr. A. Satish Babu, Dean and Controller Jeysankar were present. Vivekananda's Chicago speech in English was delivered by third-year undergraduate Botany student Rooban and in Tamil by Raja, a third-year undergraduate History student. Nellai Balu, Founder of Madurai Aksaya Phararam Trust and Bharthi Yuvakendra, participated as the special guest and delivered a keynote address on the topic: Wise Poet and Heroic Saint. Assistant Professor of History Mr. V. Murugan delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. K. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil coordinated the program.
