Teacher's Day and Arasan Sanmuganar birthday celebrations were held in the college Prayer Hall with a special lecture. The event was organized by the Department of Tamil. The programme started with a Tamil Thai Vaazhthu. College Secretary Swami Vedananda and Kulapathi Swami Adhyatmananda blessed the participants. Dr. V.K.Ramakrishnan, Head of the Department of Tamil, gave the welcome speech.
Principal of the college Dr. T. Venkatesan delivered the presidential address. Dr. M. Arunagiri, Former Principal of Thiagarasar College gave a special speech on the topic of Teacher Student Relationship. Dr. Muthamil, Assistant Professor of Tamil, Thiagarasar College, Madurai gave a special speech on the topic of Arasan Sanmuganar's Multifaceted Personality.
Dr. K. Ramar, Assistant Professor of Tamil gave vote of thanks. Dr. K. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Tamil coordinated master of ceremony. Assistant Professors of Tamil Mr. Su. Muthiah and Dr. R.Sudhahar Vadivelu coordinated the programme. Teachers and students attended this programme in large numbers.
