Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital has taken a significant step toward establishing global collaborations in healthcare research and medical education. In line with this vision, the hospital is exploring partnership opportunities with Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand, a prominent institution renowned for its leadership in health sciences education and innovation.
A high-level meeting between the leadership team of Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital, comprising Dr. S. Gurushankar, Chairman of Madurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre and Mrs. Kamini Gurushankar, and the representatives of AUT including Prof. Brett Cowan, Prof. Dr. Jan Dewar, Prof. Sonal Dholakia, and Mr. Dev Dutta, Development Consultant, Australia, held today.
During their visit, the AUT team toured the state-of-the-art facilities at Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital and its group institutions, including Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre, Meenakshi Hospital, Tanjore and Meenakshi College of Nursing. They engaged in in-depth discussions with staff members, exploring avenues for advancing healthcare education, research innovation, and technological integration.
Auckland University of Technology, one of New Zealand’s largest universities, offers over 250 programs across various disciplines and study levels, from certificates to doctoral degrees. AUT is also a major provider of health science education in New Zealand, offering a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as short-term courses in medicine.
