BIS Hyderabad Organizes Capsule Course Training on Packaged Drinking Water Standards

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Hyderabad Branch Office, organized a two-day Capsule Course Training Programme for the Quality Testing Personnel of Manufacturers and Licensees of Packaged Drinking Water (IS 14543). The programme was headed by Smt. T. Sujatha, Director, BIS Hyderabad.


A total of 30 participants from various packaged drinking water manufacturing units actively took part in the training.


On Day 1, the programme was held at the JIA Conference Hall, Jeedimetla, where the provisions of the Indian Standard for Packaged Drinking Water were explained clause-wise. The participants were also given a detailed explanation of the relevant test methods to ensure quality and compliance.


On Day 2, the participants were taken to VIMTA Laboratories, where officials demonstrated the testing procedures, standards used, methods to achieve accurate results, and techniques for ensuring quality output.


This Capsule Course Training is part of BIS’s continuous efforts to provide in-depth knowledge of Indian Standards and to train industry personnel on their practical implementation, thereby strengthening the culture of quality and safety in packaged drinking water manufacturing.
