HDFC ERGO Celebrates 10th Insurance Quiz Junior Finale Engaging Over 3,600 Schools Across India

HDFC ERGO, India’s leading private sector general insurance company, successfully hosted the grand finale of the 10th Insurance Quiz Junior 2025, marking a decade-long milestone in its nationwide outreach. The journey saw participation from ~3,600 schools across ~560 cities, bringing together some of the brightest young minds from diverse regions. 


The finale crowned Hrishant Singh and Suryansh Mishra from Sunbeam Lahartara, Varanasi as champions, while New Era Senior Secondary School and Cambridge Court High School secured the runner-up positions. This year’s theme, ‘Decade of Impact’, captured the evolution of the Quiz, which began in 2016 with just 18 schools in Mumbai and has since impacted over 25 lakh students nationwide. Winners received ₹2.25 lakh, first runners-up ₹1.5 lakh, and second runners-up ₹75,000. 


Commenting on the milestone, Anuj Tyagi, MD & CEO, HDFC ERGO General Insurance, said the initiative has grown into an insurance awareness movement that goes beyond competition, reaching deep into Bharat with participation from government and vernacular schools. Conducted in five regional languages—English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Bengali—the Quiz fosters inclusive financial literacy. This year, 45% of the 7,200 participants were girls, and 42% schools came from smaller towns with populations under 10 lakhs. Importantly, 20% vernacular schools and 23% government schools participated, underscoring its motto of last-mile inclusion. 


The finale brought together six top teams after rigorous cluster and zonal rounds. Finalists included schools from Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Vadodara, and Namakkal. Adding a special experience, all finalists were hosted on an excursion to Rashtrapati Bhavan, leaving them with lifelong memories. The 10th edition concluded on a high note, celebrating knowledge, financial empowerment, and the spirit of learning.
