His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has announced the launch of the King Salman Gate project, a major multi-use development in Makkah. Spanning up to 12 million sqm adjacent to AlMasjid AlHaram, the project aims to enhance access, service quality, and the overall visitor experience, aligning with the Pilgrim Experience Program.

The integrated mixed-use development will include residential, hospitality, commercial, and cultural spaces, with capacity for around 900,000 indoor and outdoor worshippers. Strategically connected to public transport, it will blend Makkah’s rich architectural heritage with modern urban planning, while restoring and developing 19,000 sqm of heritage sites.

Developed by RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a PIF-backed firm, King Salman Gate supports Saudi Vision 2030 by generating over 300,000 jobs by 2036. The project emphasizes sustainable urban development and global best practices, aiming to position Makkah as a global benchmark in real estate and city planning.
