Ahmad Kaunain Raza has assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTECL (NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Company Limited) with effect from 3 July 2026.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from BIT Sindri, Raza is a seasoned power sector professional with over 34 years of rich experience in NTPC. Since joining the organization as an Executive Trainee in 1991, he has held several key positions across Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Fuel Management and Vigilance at major NTPC stations including Badarpur, Kahalgaon, Vindhyachal, Nabinagar, BRBCL, Barh and Simhadri.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of NTECL, Raza was serving in the Operations & Maintenance function at NTPC Simhadri as a Chief General Manager. Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated strong leadership in plant operations, maintenance excellence and fuel management, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and reliability.
As CEO, Shri Raza will lead NTECL in its continued pursuit of operational excellence, sustainable power generation and reliable electricity supply, while further strengthening the station's commitment to safety, efficiency and environmental stewardship.
