The Collector began her visit at Sengattampatti Panchayat Union Middle School, where she inspected the construction of a two-classroom building being built under the NABARD scheme at an estimated cost of ₹35.08 lakh. She also reviewed the condition of school toilets, the kitchen, stock registers and the quality of breakfast served to students.
She later inspected the construction of a Government Primary Health Centre at Sevugampatti Town Panchayat, being developed under the 15th Finance Commission Scheme at a cost of ₹1.50 crore.
At K. Pudurpatti, the Collector visited a nursery established under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) at ₹9 lakh and examined the availability of saplings and maintenance records. She also reviewed the construction of Sri Lankan Tamil refugee housing worth ₹5.77 crore and interacted with camp residents regarding civic amenities and welfare measures.
During her visit to Mettur in Thummalapatti Panchayat, the Collector inspected a government-assisted solar-powered borewell project and reviewed micro-irrigation-based vetiver cultivation.
She also inspected a Fair Price Shop, the proposed site for a new Anganwadi Centre, toilet construction at the Vathalakundu Government Hospital under the Swachh Bharat Mission, and the ₹35.41-crore AMRUT drinking water project. The inspection concluded with a visit to the ₹3.30-crore causeway bridge under construction across the Marudhanathi River connecting Konnampatti and Poosaripatti.
Senior officials from the Health, Agricultural Engineering, Revenue, Rural Development and Town Panchayat departments accompanied the District Collector during the inspection.
