A Self-Defence Workshop was successfully organised by the Department of Physical Education at Saurashtra Arts and Science College, Veerapandi, Theni, under the leadership of Principal Dr. A. Chandrabose (MCA, Ph.D.).
The programme was conducted under the guidance of S.L. Jawaharlal (M.A., PGDCA.), Chairman of the Saurashtra Educational Institutions, and Mrs. J.J. Kalaivani (M.A., B.Ed., MBA.), Secretary of the Saurashtra Educational Institutions.
The chief guest for the event was P. Nagarajan, a 9th Dan Black Belt and senior karate instructor from Theni district. He conducted practical karate training sessions for the students and shared valuable awareness on self-defence techniques, personal safety, discipline, and confidence-building.
Students from various departments of the college actively participated in the workshop and benefited from the training and interactive sessions.
The event was organised by P. Rajadurai (M.A., M.P.Ed.), Director of Physical Education, Saurashtra Educational Institutions, who made all the necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the programme.
