Kia India yesterday announced the prices of the new factory-fitted CNG variants of the Carens and Carens Clavis, expanding its multi-powertrain portfolio and offering customers greater choice. Prices start at INR 12,11,800 (ex-showroom).
Designed for everyday commuting and family mobility, the CNG variants combine the space, comfort and versatility of Kia’s three-row models with the practicality of CNG technology. Both models feature a 60-litre CNG tank, while retaining a spare tyre for added convenience.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Kia India, said, “CNG continues to be an important consideration for a growing set of customers seeking an efficient and practical mobility solution. By introducing factory-fitted CNG options on the Carens and Carens Clavis, we are responding to this demand with an integrated offering backed by Kia.”
Based on the Smartstream G1.5 engine with a 6MT transmission, the CNG variants deliver 96 PS of power and 123 Nm of torque in CNG mode. Features include CNG-specific engine calibration, modified suspension, 16-inch front disc brakes, CNG Fuel Change Switch and a 4.2-inch Colour TFT MID with CNG Distance-to-Empty logic.
The Carens CNG Premium (O) is priced at INR 12,11,800, while Carens Clavis CNG HTE and HTE (O) are priced at INR 12,38,800 and INR 13,34,800, respectively.
