Samsung India has launched Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) 2026 in Karnataka to train 2,000 youth in industry-relevant Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills. The programme was launched in the presence of Shri Basavaraj Rayareddy, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Industry and Commerce (FKCCI), in partnership with Nrupathunga University, Bengaluru. Karnataka’s SIC programme has trained over 3,000 people to date.
The programme will provide youth aged 18–25 with AI and Generative AI education, hands-on training, expert mentoring and practical learning opportunities, helping them build career-ready technology skills. SIC 2026 is being implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), supporting Karnataka’s efforts to develop an AI-native ecosystem and future-ready technology workforce.
The Karnataka initiative is part of Samsung’s broader commitment to empower 20,000 youth across 10 states through Samsung Innovation Campus 2026. In 2025, SIC trained more than 20,000 participants across India, with women accounting for 48% of participation. Shubham Mukherjee, Head, Corporate Communications & CSR, Samsung South West Asia, highlighted Samsung’s commitment to building future-ready capabilities among young Indians, while Shri Basavaraj Rayareddy emphasised the importance of industry-academia collaboration in preparing Karnataka’s youth for emerging technology opportunities.
